Mobile Fix — June 14
The feebleFix; I have gone down with some bug and feeling feeble together with the various drugs are not conducive to thinking and insights. So this Fix is the raw material — the stories and reports without any of my views. There is lots of good reading here and normal service will be resumed next week
Modern World
The new Mary Meeker deck is full of great insight — 333 slides of it. The Money chart has been the one we have used since the first of her reports in 2004.
A new Pew report shows 37% of US adults mostly go online with their smartphones — higher in younger age brackets.
So is it Job Done? Well not quite.
The user experience on some mobile sites is still poor and the advertising experience is still pretty dire. So lots of opportunity to seize an advantage over your competitors by better serving mobile users.
